Reviews
Overpriced And I had the highly recommended full rack of lamb chops medium with a little bit of red in them and they came out rare. Sent rare center ribs back. But even after cooking more to my liking they were just okay and way overpriced.
Fantastic Italian food and wine. The scallops with risotto was different and delicious, and the lava cake incredible ( perfect for two).
One concern, before leaving I used the restroom and found it off putting: cleaning supplies toppled over, package sticker on the wall, partially used toilet paper strewn about, it looked like no one cleaned or put supplies away for several days.
The service was great. Food was not. Ordered a prime sirloin cooked medium. It came out like an extra well done hockey puck. Worste and dryest steak I've had in a long time. It came with potatoes, which were good, but it's hard to mess those up.
This could be an outstanding restaurant with a few improvements. The food my wife and I had here on a couple occasions was mostly excellent, with the exception of bland tasting risotto. Atmosphere is pleasant and romantic when the bar crowd is toned down. We were hoping for a more fitting response from the server or management regarding some below par serving issues.
Disappointing. The pre-dinner glass of Malbec contained a large amount of lees, which ended up in my mouth. (Don't upend a bottle, leave the last quarter inch in there.) Basic bartending stuff. The waiter's comment was "this happens sometimes". No bread served, had to request it. When it came, it was four small dry cubes with a large amount of oil? Both salads were excellent and generous. The entrees not so much. The lamb shank was certainly NOT braised in red wine - the color showed that. The risotto dry and granular. While the shank was cooked, it wasn't fall-off-the-bone tender and rather bland. My veal saltimbocca was a single small leathery escalope with absolutely no prosciutto that I could detect. Even the side veg was undercooked. The waiter presented a full bill with slight apology, but I declined to pay for the glass of sediment. Do not recommend. Expensive and not an Italian Restaurant.
Your average red sauce Italian restaurant. Dishes are what you would expect. Two in our party had the Veal Milanaze, probably the best dish in the house. I had the lobster risotto, while there was a ton of lobster, the risotto was just boiled rice with no real flavor. Stick to the basics, Parmesan, Milanese, etc.
The best chicken marsala I've ever had. The other meals ordered by members of our party looked great, and I was told they were very good. The service was exceptional. Mary was our server, and she was excellent.
Visiting Dennis, MA stopped here for lunch. Pizza was great and best French fries we’ve had in a long time. Large menu selection and prices were very reasonable. If in the area you must try!!!
